Job Description

As the Maintenance Manager at a prestigious resort, you will oversee the efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and plant rooms. Your role will involve driving Preventative and Reactive Maintenance Programs to minimize unscheduled downtime.

You will be responsible for effective leadership, staff development, training, performance monitoring, task allocation, adherence to quality and safety standards, and successful task completion by supervisors and support staff under your supervision.

Key responsibilities include educating staff and guests on policies, participating in public relations exercises, ensuring punctual service, recruiting and training trade colleagues, managing departmental performance, and overseeing apprenticeship programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade or academic qualifications
  • Electrical trade qualification and high voltage switching highly desirable
  • Confined space entry and working at heights highly desirable
  • Queensland General Safety Induction Card
  • At least 3-5 years in an operational manager, construction manager or engineering manager role
  • Hotel or Resort experience highly regarded
  • Preventative Maintenance Management
  • Building Management Systems
