Class A CDL Delivery Driver Job Description

As a skilled transportation professional, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering materials to customer sites while adhering to strict driver safety and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation and Delivery: Load and secure products, materials, or supplies inside delivery vehicle, deliver customer orders to specified delivery site, maneuvering vehicles into loading or unloading positions
  • Order Verification: Verify order details, maintain logs of delivery duties, and check items against invoice
  • Customer Service: Act as a customer service liaison, handle customer concerns, and help resolve issues
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles, perform routine safety checks, and use handheld devices to ensure compliance with DVIR and HOS
  • Special Duties: Perform credit/product return pick-ups and related paperwork, operate a Forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license, and Class A CDL license. Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience, 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently and on occasion may be required to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust
