Job Description:

The T2D Alliance is seeking an experienced Excavation Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of spoil management on the Torrens to Darlington project.

This role will be responsible for planning, logistics, compliance, and stakeholder engagement relating to the excavation, handling, transport, and disposal of spoil material generated across tunnelling and surface operations.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that spoil activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental and project requirements whilst maintaining key relationships throughout the duration of the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience managing spoil, materials, or logistics on large-scale infrastructure or tunnelling projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory requirements for spoil handling, disposal, and reuse.
  • Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and haulage fleets.
  • High-level planning, scheduling, and organisational skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
