Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a full-time Civil Vacuum Excavation & Hydrojetting professional to operate vacuum excavation and drain cleaning unit and associated equipment for potholing/NDD of underground services, and cleaning of stormwater pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years industry experience, hold full Australian working rights, knowledge of smartphone and iPad operating systems, demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, communicate with clients at all levels, have a practical common-sense approach to tasks undertaken, and operate with safety and a high degree of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vacuum excavation and drain cleaning unit and associated equipment
  • Locate services including power, communications, water, gas, drainage and sewer
  • Return written defect reports to the Workshop for action
  • Carry out periodic services
  • Complete daily paperwork
  • Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of Company vehicles
  • Hold current HR unrestricted driver's licence
  • Be trained and accredited to operate a High Pressure Water Jetting System (MSMSS00004) and to operate a Drain Cleaning System (MSMSS00019)
  • Hold WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) and Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Be flexible in availability, including weekends, evenings and emergency call-outs
  • Have strong health and safety mindset and physically fit to perform manual tasks
  • Communicate effectively with clients at all levels and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements:

  • Current HR unrestricted driver's licence
  • Trained and accredited to operate a High Pressure Water Jetting System (MSMSS00004) and to operate a Drain Cleaning System (MSMSS00019)
  • WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card); Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Flexible availability; full Australian working rights
  • Knowledge of smartphone and iPad operating systems
  • Strong health and safety mindset; physically fit
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; reliable, safe and cautious driver
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills; ability to work autonomously and in a team
