Product Owner Role

The Product Owner plays a key role at our organization, responsible for bridging the gap between technology teams and non-technical business stakeholders. This role requires the ability to understand customer needs, recommend solutions, and ensure quality in finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Assist in running Agile digital projects, including JIRA management, client interactions, meetings, and taking briefs.
  • Provide support to clients through call handling and task creation for developers.
  • Collaborate closely with senior product teams and other delivery personnel to monitor and set goals for developers.
  • Contribute to project scoping based on provided requirements documents for handover to developers.
  • Articulate needs and outcomes to developers and UX/UI designers to support bespoke web applications.
  • Configure and run JIRA boards for developers.
  • Take accountability for QA and approve developer work through dev, UAT, and prod environments.
  • Anticipate client requirements and remain proactive.
  • Be available to assist other areas of the organization as needed.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS) and Docker.
  • A genuine interest in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and incremental change.

Success Factors:

  • Demonstrate involvement in software delivery from development to release.
  • Solve problems and specify issues based on bug reports.
  • Review a simple JIRA project board and complete a planning exercise.
  • QA tickets from a JIRA project and provide guidance on completeness and improvement.
