Animal Reproduction Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Animal Reproduction Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant contribution to the field of animal reproduction. As a Senior Lecturer in Theriogenology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical training and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

You will also be expected to participate in the development of new services and clinical techniques within Theriogenology, as well as contributing to the growth of the School's research profile.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of academic excellence, with experience in teaching, research, and clinical practice. You will be an excellent communicator and leader, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical training and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Participate in the development of new services and clinical techniques within Theriogenology
  • Contribute to the growth of the School's research profile
  • Supervise honours, Masters by Coursework, HDR and postgraduate students or residents in training
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Clinical specialist qualification (DECAR, DACT or FANZCVS) in Theriogenology / Animal Reproduction
  • Evidence of excellence in clinical work, and a high level of clinical competence across a broad range of animal species and theriogenology cases
  • Evidence of ability to direct a clinical team within a Theriogenology referral service
  • Substantial experience in teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Experience in supervising honours, Masters by Coursework, HDR and postgraduate students or residents in training
