We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale LNG project, conducting routine and non-routine chemical analyses of hydrocarbons, LNG, and environmental samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Conducting routine and non-routine chemical analyses of hydrocarbons, LNG, and environmental samples using gas chromatography, ion chromatography, UV/Vis photometry, and spectroscopy.">
  • Supporting the verification and optimization of Gas Chromatography techniques for hydrocarbon analysis.">
  • Managing sample collection, containers, freight, and off-site analysis safely, accurately, and efficiently.">
  • Performing in-plant sampling as per schedules, ad-hoc, or emergency requirements.">
  • Maintaining training competencies, including dedicated annual training days.">
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting the development of junior team members.">
  • Operating with a strong customer focus, delivering accurate and timely results.">

Qualifications:

  • ">
  • A qualification in Chemistry or a related discipline.">
  • Minimum 8 years' laboratory experience in the oil and gas industry.">
  • Proven skills in sampling and analysis of hydrocarbons (liquid and gaseous).">
  • Hands-on experience with gas chromatography, ion chromatography, UV/Vis photometry, and spectroscopy.">
  • Hazard awareness and experience with live gas plant sampling stations and offtake protocols.">
  • Familiarity with NATA/ISO 17025 accreditation requirements and experience using LIMS.">
  • The ability to work independently, plan laboratory programs, and deliver high-quality results.">
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and train others.">
