Job Description">

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop clinical and administrative skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

  • Carry out baseline observations such as pulse, oximetry, temperature, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels, recording findings accurately.
  • Assist with wound care, venepuncture, phlebotomy checks, and administration of medicines and vaccines.
  • Ensure that all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session.
  • Update patient health records.
  • Manage medical supplies effectively.
  • Act as a chaperone where required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and carers, providing valuable health promotion and education.
  • Conduct new patient health checks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Successful completion of the Care Certificate or willingness to undertake it.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience of working within a GP practice.
  • Strong clinical skills including venepuncture/phlebotomy.
  • Excellent patient-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidential manner with a compassionate and respectful approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
