Real Estate Finance Professional

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced professional to join our esteemed Real Estate Finance practice as a Senior Associate.

The Opportunity: As a senior member of this first-class team, you will be responsible for leading transactions from inception to completion, drafting and negotiating complex finance documents, mentoring junior colleagues, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years' experience in loan markets gained within a top-tier firm or respected mid-tier firm, with expertise in real estate finance, including acquisition and development finance.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating finance documents, including facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and side deeds, with familiarity with relevant APLMA precedents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients to progress complex transactions, often under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent drafting and presentation abilities.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified law professional, admitted to practice as a solicitor in Australia or New Zealand (or equivalent in other jurisdictions).
  • Relevant experience in corporate law or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of real estate finance principles.
