Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive speech pathology support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide home-based speech pathology support to adults with progressive neurological diseases, including Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Huntington's disease.
  • Work collaboratively with the NDIS Provider Service Allied Health Staff, Bethlehem clinical staff, and other external key stakeholders to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Prescribe augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, including writing funding applications.
  • Manage dysphagia, secretions, and communication.

Requirements

  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current Victorian driving license.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in progressive neurological disease management, including MND and Huntington's Disease.
  • Able to work autonomously and within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
