Dysphagia Specialist for Progressive Neurological Conditions

About the Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will be part of our multidisciplinary Allied Health team at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive Speech Pathology support to individuals with progressive neurological diseases, including Motor Neurone Disease and Huntington's disease.
You will work closely with our NDIS Provider Service Allied Health Staff, Bethlehem clinical staff, and other external key stakeholders to deliver a collaborative service to participants and their families. This will involve optimising quality of life and function at home through comprehensive Speech Pathology support aligned with participant goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Providing home-based Speech Pathology support to individuals with progressive neurological diseases
- Working with the NDIS Provider Service Allied Health Staff, Bethlehem clinical staff, and other external stakeholders to deliver a collaborative service
- Managing dysphagia, secretions, and communication through comprehensive Speech Pathology support
- Prescribing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, including writing funding applications
