Your Role

As an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems.

This includes coordinating with network administrators, setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

You will interact with users and evaluate vendor products, making recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinating installation and providing backup recovery.

Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources is also part of your responsibilities.

About You
  • You have significant experience in delivering a high level of systems administration support.
  • You possess a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.
  • You have general knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • You have significant knowledge and experience within technologies and domains including Linux, UNIX & Windows, troubleshooting communications networks, deployment of new hardware, heating and cooling paradigms in computing environments, networking standards.
  • You have significant experience working with a range of technologies within a professional ICT environment.
  • A degree in Information Technology would be advantageous.
  • You understand principles, theories and concepts and can apply these to solve problems.
  • You possess strong conceptual and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
