About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Master Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Perth, Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate civil engineering design teams to deliver high-quality projects within timeframes and budgets.
  • Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction, collaborating with engineers and designers.
  • Supervise the performance of civil engineers, review deliverables, and provide technical expertise as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams and other disciplines to provide input on site selection and layout optimization of mining projects.
  • Coordinate resources across multiple offices and time zones.
  • Contribute to cost-efficient delivery by managing project budgets and reviewing capital cost estimates.
  • Evaluate tenders from a technical standpoint, applying multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience.
  • Motivate engineers and project team members towards superior performance through daily support and mentoring.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • Demonstrated success as a Lead civil design engineer, ideally in an EPCM environment.
  • Extensive experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design engineering in a relevant industry.
  • Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently using personal knowledge, external consultants, and in-house experience.
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
  • An in-depth understanding of mining facility design, with a proven ability to conceptualize project layouts and optimize designs.
  • Hands-on experience with 12D, AutoCad, or Civil 3D and other modeling software is a plus.
  • Proven ability to enable strong team performance through coaching and developing teams.
  • Ability to complete performance reviews on study and project personnel.
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with well-developed written and oral English language skills.
  • Chartered status is a strong asset, but not essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks for the design team and manage time effectively.
