About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our high-calibre team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining total control and knowledge of onsite works, coordinating the Supervision Team, workforce, and contractors. Your primary objective will be to complete projects safely and in accordance with the program, ensuring a quality product is constructed.

You will motivate others to achieve exceptional quality outcomes, promoting a high-performing culture where teamwork is essential. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

  • A Certificate III in Civil Construction, with Cert IV or Diploma of Construction Management desirable
  • Extensive civil construction background with demonstrated senior supervisory experience
  • Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do
  • Motivation to achieve value-for-money results to program

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Manager, you will:

  • Lead, implement, and audit all aspects of the project's occupational health and safety/environment requirements
  • Undertake and lead pre-start and toolbox meetings, ensuring all communication is coordinated, clear, and supports the project's strategic direction
  • Be in charge of site communication
  • Provide leadership to the team of Supervisors, workforce, and sub-contractors, clearly defining responsibilities, coordination of areas of operation, and allocation of labor
  • Direct the allocation of site resources and monitor the effectiveness of the resources with direct correlation to daily production rates
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the project, including drawings, specifications, and quality requirements for all site-related activities
