Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Impact & Assessment team based in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have 6-10 years' experience in consulting, government, or industry, working to deliver environmental impact assessments and approvals. As a key member of our team, you will support senior project managers in delivering large multidisciplinary projects and have the opportunity to manage your own projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals.
- Be an all-round key support person to large projects, taking responsibility for your own projects.
- Work alongside the rest of the Planning and Assessment Service Line, partnering with Environmental Consultants, Urban Planners, GIS experts, and Social Impact & Consultation Specialists across Australia.
- Deliver the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on quality.
- Assist with preparing fee proposals and preparing high-quality reports.
- Prepare environmental approvals documentation.
Requirements
- A professional qualification in environmental science, environmental planning, or engineering, or other relevant degree.
- 6-10 years' experience at a professional level, ideally in consulting.
- Experience delivering environmental effects assessments and approvals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approval processes outside of Victoria is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframes.
- A clear, concise, and professional writing style.
