Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Qatar Duty Free. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, planning, and implementation of our commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze traffic segments, origin-destination pairs, distribution channels, and travel agencies to drive market share and revenue goals.
  • Interpret and analyze large sets of data on assigned portfolios and make recommendations to improve our commercial strategy.
  • Identify market opportunities through internal and external analysis and initiate proposals to generate incremental revenue.
  • Provide commentary on performance to key performance indicators (KPIs) such as market share and revenue performance under assigned portfolios.
  • Lead discussions with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Network Planning teams, to drive tactical and structural initiatives.
  • Monitor performance of fare products, sales incentives, and commercial initiatives.
  • Build business cases to support recommendations on commercial product/policy changes to improve portfolio performance.
  • Work closely with Global Business Intelligence and Revenue Management teams, as well as other data stakeholders, to improve data processing flow and adoption by regional Business Intelligence and sales teams.
  • Support management in formulating commercial strategy and plans, as well as ad-hoc commercial studies/projects when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Operations Research.
  • 3 years of practical and relevant experience in Commercial and/or Analysis functions.
  • Travel-related industry experience, with interest in aviation/QR knowledge as a plus.
  • Proven commercial skills and business acumen.
  • Able to analyze voluminous, complex data, identify patterns and trends, and deliver meaningful insights to management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence/negotiate with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Independent, proactive individual who is able to anticipate needs and develop alternatives based on value created.
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and able to follow through to conclusions.
  • Excellent collaborator with team members and cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate positive and innovative learning attitude, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
  • Able to express dissenting opinions in a professional and appropriate way.
  • PC literate with proficient working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Tableau or other similar programs considered a plus.
