As a seasoned professional, you will have the opportunity to drive the procurement function at a critical infrastructure facility contributing to sustainable water solutions for the Gold Coast community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Align with organisational goals and compliance requirements by creating and executing effective procurement strategies that meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Manage Purchase to Pay Team: Ensure timely processing of orders, invoice reconciliation, and procedural compliance by effectively managing the Purchase to Pay team.
  • Lead End-to-End Procurement Processes: Spearhead procurement processes from sourcing through to contract execution, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers: Work closely with project engineers on scope development and refinement to ensure that procurement strategies align with project objectives.
  • Mitigate Procurement Risks: Identify and mitigate procurement risks while maintaining probity standards to ensure compliance and integrity in all procurement activities.
  • Coordinate Tender Evaluations: Conduct tender evaluations to ensure compliance, fairness, and business alignment, providing expert guidance on contract management and performance monitoring.
  • Support Commercial Negotiations: Provide support during commercial negotiations to achieve value-for-money outcomes, leveraging preferred supplier arrangements at local, regional, and global levels.

Requirements:

  • Procurement Experience: Possess significant experience in procurement within an organisation with high public accountability.
  • Strong Knowledge: Demonstrate strong knowledge of procurement legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Operational or Project Environment: Have extensive experience in complex operational or project environments, with a strong network of suppliers and industry connections.
