
Care Worker: Empower Individuals with Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:- Support clients in accordance with their care plans, focusing on daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Assist clients with transportation, ensuring safe and timely arrival at their destinations.
- Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing much-needed breaks and relaxation opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress, utilizing strong organizational skills.
- Develop effective communication strategies to engage with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Foster a culture of safety and well-being by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and latest developments in disability support.
- A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion.
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
- Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
- Strong understanding of disability support services and their guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with diverse client base, considering different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
