Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support clients in accordance with their care plans, focusing on daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  2. Assist clients with transportation, ensuring safe and timely arrival at their destinations.
  3. Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing much-needed breaks and relaxation opportunities.
  4. Maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress, utilizing strong organizational skills.
  5. Develop effective communication strategies to engage with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  6. Foster a culture of safety and well-being by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  7. Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and latest developments in disability support.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  2. Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion.
  3. Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
  4. Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  5. Strong understanding of disability support services and their guidelines.
  6. Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  7. Ability to work with diverse client base, considering different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  8. Basic care and first aid skills.
  9. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
