Nursing Opportunities

This casual position offers flexibility and allows you to work around your schedule, providing the perfect opportunity for those seeking a better work-life balance. As a member of our small nursing team, you will have the chance to develop strong interpersonal relationships with patients and their carers, ensuring they receive high-quality, compassionate care.

We welcome applicants with a background in oncology nursing, but this is not essential. Our team will provide training and support to ensure you excel in this role. You will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with empathy for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, meeting patients' physical and psychological needs.
  • Undertake direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration according to practice protocols.
  • Effectively manage patient interactions and facilitate communication between healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, communication, and actioning of patient interactions.
  • Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best-practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
  • Follow medication management protocols and utilize ISBAR communication tool for patient handovers and allied health service communication.
Requirements:
  • Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience (preferred).
  • Possess exemplary interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
  • Have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the application of best-practice principles and quality improvement, including NSQHS.
  • Commit to continuing professional development.
  • Be experienced in wound care management.
