The role of an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter is a highly rewarding position that allows you to learn and grow with our organisation.

This apprenticeship opportunity provides a unique chance to develop a wide range of skills in Mechanical Engineering, from Automation and digital technician roles, through to managerial positions post apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative workshop environment where you can apply your knowledge and skills to real-world projects.

Your duties will include examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for tasks, operating and adjusting metalworking machines to create parts or tools, using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines, cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines, ensuring accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies, and operating lathes, machining centres, sheet metal folders, and benders.

You will also have the opportunity to develop a wide range of metal, electronics, and engineering design principles, and gain experience in a variety of welding practices including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.

We are seeking an individual who is eager to learn new skills, has a positive approach to workplace safety, and holds a minimum Year 11 schooling qualification. A driver's license and reliable transport are also desirable.

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer all training fees paid for, PPE provided throughout the apprenticeship, mentoring from experienced industry professionals, a dedicated field consultant to support you throughout your apprenticeship, and flexible work hours (always supervised in the workplace).
