Procurement Expertise in Sector Management

The role of a Sector Procurement Specialist is a pivotal one, encompassing the development and maintenance of a register of Sector Procurement activities.

This position entails leading the strategy for Global Supply Chain (GSC) support for bids relevant to size and value, as well as managing the end-to-end GSC process for critical vendors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive register of Sector Procurement activities.
  • Leading the strategic approach for GSC support for bids relevant to size and value.
  • Managing the entire GSC process for critical vendors from start to finish.
  • Planning and executing supplier onboarding and mobilisation.
  • Assisting with training, onboarding, and recruitment of project resources.
  • Providing procurement insights to Sector stakeholders.
  • Ongoing management of suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Supporting demobilisation activities related to post-project reviews.

Requirements for this role include relevant Commerce or Business qualifications, or equivalent experience, alongside at least 5 years' procurement experience. Experience in Telco and/or Infrastructure is highly desirable, along with strong negotiation abilities and excellent communication skills. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
