Lead Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist

As a key member of our operations team, you will oversee the daily activities of the workshop, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and meeting productivity targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of tradespeople and apprentices, with knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of tradespeople and apprentices to achieve daily production targets
  • Ensure finished work meets quality standards and specifications
  • Oversee and support apprentice training and development
  • Drive team productivity and meet daily production targets
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and SOPs
  • Execute the production schedule and keep the team on track
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring maintenance is upkept
Requirements:
  • Cert III in Sheet-Metal Trade or similar qualification
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
  • Foreman/supervisor experience desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • A positive attitude, team-first mindset, and leadership potential
