Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Handyperson to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and upkeep to local stores and facilities, as well as equipment and grounds at Head Office in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fixing leaky faucets and changing light bulbs
  • Identify and report any maintenance concerns or issues
  • Assess and repair wear and tear on office and warehouse equipment, furnishings and fixtures
  • Carry out minor building repairs and coordinate external trades when required
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and store maintenance history
  • Ensure company vehicles are cleaned and maintained to reflect high standards
  • Oversee the upkeep of grounds, including landscaping and signage maintenance
  • Manage stock levels of maintenance supplies and ensure necessary materials are available
  • Source and deliver building materials, tools and other items as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in general maintenance/handyperson roles
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Forklift Licence is desirable
  • Willingness to travel interstate when required
  • Strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety regulations
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools and maintenance machinery safely and efficiently
  • Trade qualification in cabinetmaking, carpentry or a related field (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional and respectful approach
  • Will to attend training courses for further skill development
