Site Operations Supervisor

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of construction zones during the Australian Open. This encompasses identifying safety concerns and risk issues, coordinating with contractors and staff, and ensuring a positive work environment.

About the Role
  • Manage the operational aspects of construction zones during bump-in and bump-out, as well as throughout the tournament.
  • Maintain an active presence across the event build site, recognizing potential safety concerns and risk issues that require intervention or control.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with contractors, clients, staff, and event personnel regarding site procedures and venue restrictions and AO expectations.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment onsite with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate plant, labour, and logistics for task completion during Bump-in, Event, and Bump-out phases.
About You
  • Proven major event experience, specifically in overlay, operations, and logistics.
  • Desirable: contractor management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective engagement with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to think critically, be agile, and provide solutions to problems encountered.
  • Valid Construction Induction Card (or State or Territory equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Current Victorian Driver's license (desirable).
  • Current Forklift license (desirable).
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
