A leading commercial fit out firm is seeking a seasoned Site Manager to oversee a 2.5-month office fit out project in the Canberra CBD area. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in fit out management and be confident in their ability to collaborate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure the project is completed to specification and on schedule.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the finishing trades on site, ensuring that works are completed to specification, on schedule, and within budget. They will work closely with the project management team and attend meetings to report on updates for their area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and finishing trades on site
- Monitor work progress in line with schedules and deadlines
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets project standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure site meets health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) requirements
- Collaborate closely with project management to report progress and address any issues promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on a commercial, fit out space
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies related to finishing works
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
