**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Clinician to join our team at Hope Community Services, working with young people aged 12-25 years. This role will play an active part in supporting the ongoing development of the physical and sexual health stream.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centered support, education, referral, and advocacy to young people regarding their physical, sexual, mental, and psychosocial health. They will work closely with key stakeholders and the Community Engagement team to promote health and wellbeing in the community and within secondary schools.

The Nurse Clinician will also build capacity within the multidisciplinary team by providing secondary consultation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality, youth-friendly care to headspace young people.
  • To conduct health assessments and screenings, escalating concerns to internal and external services as appropriate.
  • To develop and implement comprehensive nursing services in the primary health setting.
  • To work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Requirements:

  • CURRENT REGISTRATION AS REGISTERED NURSE (DIVISION 2) WITH AHPRA.
  • TERTIARY QUALIFICATIONS IN NURSING.
  • EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AND DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF AND SENSITIVITY TO THE MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE.
