This role involves providing life-changing therapy to NDIS participants in Sutherland Shire/South Eastern Sydney surrounding areas.

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity (4 days per week) to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

As a Transformative Behaviour Support Specialist at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same:

  • You'll work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres.
  • You'll utilise assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximising NDIS funding.
  • You'll build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion.
  • You'll develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework.
  • You'll conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • You'll collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges.
  • You'll attend weekly team meetings in the Hub, sharing stories of impact, coffee, and laughs.

Who We Are Looking For

We're seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field).
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • A valid Australian driver's license.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $85,000-$110,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
