Our school is seeking a part-time Craft Specialist to teach students in Class 6 and 7 through hands-on projects in both soft and hard crafts. This role starts in Term 1, 2025.

We are looking for someone with experience teaching soft and hard crafts, ideally in a Steiner setting. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging craft lessons that foster creativity and life skills, while supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills and be able to create a harmonious, inclusive environment. They will also manage classroom resources and ensure materials are well-maintained.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience teaching soft and hard crafts
  • Creativity and craftsmanship in traditional crafts
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Queensland College of Teacher Registration (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
