The company is seeking a skilled WordPress developer to join their team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have around 4-5 years' experience in WordPress development and be proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and Laravel/React.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Custom theme and plugin development
  • Building out new functionality and enhancing existing features
  • Maintenance and enhancements, including security updates and performance improvements

The role involves working across front-end development while touching into the back-end PHP where possible, with opportunities to work on projects involving AI, back-end automations, and large language models, as well as integrations.

Experience with APIs, custom integrations, source control, and deployment pipelines is also essential. Additionally, the ability to customize WordPress beyond just theme installation and a strong understanding of security best practices and performance optimization are must-haves.

Requirements
  • Strong WordPress theme & plugin development experience
