Field Service Technician in Perth, WA

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Perth, WA.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of our office, servicing the greater regions of Western Australia.

As a key member of our team, you will report to the Operations Manager and work 8 days on, with 6 days off, in 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively focus on safety and hazard identification
  • Read Electrical and Hydraulic schematics
  • Comply with drawings and instructions for new installations
  • Install and remove components
  • Conduct technical inspections and job estimations
  • Undertake maintenance, diagnostic, and troubleshooting activities
  • Fabricate and modify mounting brackets

Your primary focus will be to ensure the quality and efficiency of service, repair, and calibration work is carried out, and most importantly, to maintain the availability of assets and equipment at the expected level.

Requirements:

  • Auto electrical or mechanical experience
  • Ability to work within the mining sector and operate within site conditions
  • Able to do shift work (12 hrs when onsite and to a maximum of 8 days)
  • Ability to work in remote areas
  • Valid C class driver's licence (HR is advantageous)
  • Any experience or exposure to Earth Moving Equipment are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised in remote areas
