This role empowers people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives. As a support worker, you will provide one-on-one assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities, enabling them to engage and participate in their communities.
The key responsibilities include:
- Delivering personalized support aligned with each client's goals and objectives
- Assisting with daily personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, showering, dressing)
- Using safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans
- Facilitating community access and transport using available resources
- BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS, FAMILIES, AND STAKEHOLDERS
- Maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and records
- Working collaboratively within a close-knit team
- Responding appropriately to incidents in line with guidelines and protocols
