
Home Support Worker

Casual Position Overview: Home Support Workers help our clients with:
- Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
- Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
- Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
- Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
- Recording attendance through a smartphone application, as well as a summary of tasks completed.
Requirements:
- Available on Friday 9:00am-1:00pm on a weekly basis as a minimum.
- Must have own registered and insured car, as well as New South Wales issued driver's licence.
- The ideal candidate would be someone who can be proactive in supporting an individual with unique needs and preferences with their daily living activities.
- They would also need to commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients.
- We offer flexibility for work within school hours with the casual position.
- Our aim is to roster with permanent shifts, so being reliable and great with communication is integral to thrive in this role.
- National Police Check (Less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
- New South Wales issued Driver's Licence.
- Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
- (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
Selection Criteria:
- Registered, road-worthy, and insured vehicle.
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks referred to in the position overview.
- Alignment with company values.
- Ability to meet compliance and qualification criteria referred to in the requirements.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
