Casual Position Overview: Home Support Workers help our clients with:
  • Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
  • Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
  • Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
  • Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
  • Recording attendance through a smartphone application, as well as a summary of tasks completed.

Requirements:
  • Available on Friday 9:00am-1:00pm on a weekly basis as a minimum.
  • Must have own registered and insured car, as well as New South Wales issued driver's licence.
  • The ideal candidate would be someone who can be proactive in supporting an individual with unique needs and preferences with their daily living activities.
  • They would also need to commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients.
  • We offer flexibility for work within school hours with the casual position.
  • Our aim is to roster with permanent shifts, so being reliable and great with communication is integral to thrive in this role.
Home Support Workers are Required to have:
  • National Police Check (Less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
  • New South Wales issued Driver's Licence.
  • Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
  • (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
Remuneration: Good Works for Australia pays SCHADS award wages with the addition of generous allowances pro rata to the jobs attended for the casual rates of a home support worker. Remuneration is divided into two sections: the base rate for disability and aged care services, and then the allowances and reimbursements.

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
