About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Design Technician to join our team at Barclay Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for designing and drafting hydraulic systems for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and draft hydraulic systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and regulations.
  • Utilize engineering and design software, including AutoCAD, Kubla Cubed, and Microsoft Excel, to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Collaborate with the Hydraulics Design Manager to provide customer technical support and contribute to knowledge management.
  • Prioritize and manage work tasks, contributing to the overall team output and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Operate and complete tasks within our DDS system, capturing job details, times, and progress as directed.
  • Check and verify own work and completed designs for accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Respond to customer and team inquiries in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in building hydraulics, preferably with a residential focus.
  • Drafting background or design experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient user knowledge of ERP and/or databases.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, Australian design standards, and experience using various design tools.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Degree, Certificate, Diploma, or Tafe qualifications in building, civil, or hydraulics design.
