Job Overview

The role of a Network Security Specialist – Firewall Expert entails ensuring the security and integrity of network infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Palo Alto firewall setup, administration, and troubleshooting experience is essential.
  • A solid understanding of IP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and VPN technologies is required.
  • Network monitoring, log analysis, and firewall management tools proficiency is necessary.
  • Exposure to network testing, compliance audits, and security best practices is beneficial.
  • Techincal report generation ability is a must.
Desirable Skills:
  • AWS cloud networking, security group management, and Palo Alto solutions integration experience is desirable.
  • Automation/scripting skills using Python or Ansible for firewall management are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with other security tools such as SIEM, proxy, and threat protection solutions is valuable.
Key Requirements:

This position requires hands-on experience in setting up, administering, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls. Additionally, a strong understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and VPN technologies is mandatory. Proficiency in network monitoring, log analysis, and firewall management tools is also necessary. Experience in network testing, compliance audits, and security best practices will be considered an asset. Finally, the ability to generate technical reports will be highly valued.
