As a seasoned machinery technician, you will be responsible for performing complex mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks. Your expertise in rotating engines and mechanical seals will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strip, assess, repair, and test mechanical seals, couplings, and associated equipment to meet high quality standards.
  • Complete service-related documentation in a timely manner to facilitate seamless communication between teams.
  • Schedule jobs for repair and prioritize tasks to ensure consistent completion and efficient resource allocation.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to meet corporate compliance standards.
  • Collect operational data to support engineering efforts in specifying materials for unusual duties or previously unquoted tasks.
  • Prepare repair work quotations and associated documentation to enable informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with document control systems and assist in root cause analysis investigations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Offer troubleshooting advice and reliability solutions to colleagues and external partners.
  • Work with sales and technical support staff to generate business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Arrange and attend client visits as required to foster strong relationships and build trust.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of industry experience post-apprenticeship in rotating machinery, including product machining and hands-on experience in reliability enhancement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for actions to ensure client satisfaction.
