Job Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to make a positive impact on the lives of students with individually learning needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Supporting classroom teachers in adapting the curriculum to cater to students' diverse needs.
- Providing individualized or group assistance to students, as well as general classroom support.
- Liaising regularly with teaching staff to discuss student progress and learning requirements.
- Implementing Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) to ensure each student's unique needs are met.
- Attending Program Support Group (PSG) meetings as required to collaborate with colleagues.
- Maintaining compliance with our Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct, and procedures related to Child Safety.
- Delivering tailored support to students with disabilities, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those unable to live at home, international students, and LGBTIQ+ students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Education or a related field.
- Proven experience working with students with individually learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
