About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Live Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations group, you will play a critical part in bringing people together through live streaming.

This role requires someone who is highly organized, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with external vendors to ensure the smooth operation of live events on 9Now.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in Presentation, a keen interest in broadcast technology, and a desire to stay up-to-date with streaming innovations. They will also possess strong attention to detail, methodical decision making, and a responsive attitude.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Test live streams before events and monitor them during events to ensure quality assurance across Sport and entertainment programming
  • Ensure seamless live streaming and a great experience for the audience by facilitating presentation requirements
  • Verify the accuracy of ad insertion timing
  • Record start and end times of each event for reporting purposes
  • Update event availability times as needed
  • Complete operational processes, including coordinating and publishing replays of events for on-demand viewing

Requirements:

  • Able to work on a flexible roster, including weekends
  • Previous experience in Presentation highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail, methodical decision making, and responsive attitude
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Effective time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with streaming advantageous but not essential
