Senior Cyber Security Specialist

**Job Summary**
Ignite is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical performance, sustainment, and enhancements of one or more operational software-based airways systems, ensuring the systems meet their agreed technical performance requirements and continue to provide services to the industry.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide cybersecurity, software testing, and engineering expertise for the delivery of projects and support of systems.
- Ensure the systems meet their agreed technical performance requirements and continue to provide services to the industry.
- Collaborate with the Technology Team Lead to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and implement robust and reliable software systems.
- Develop and maintain system design documents, including alignment to strategies and existing initiatives.
- Work closely with stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Take ownership of tasks and work as a senior member of a dynamic team, including ability to work under limited direction to achieve positive outcomes.
**Requirements**
- Extensive experience in Cybersecurity and hardening of Operating Systems including Redhat Linux and Windows 10.
- Understanding of Information Security Manual (ISM) and demonstrated experience in adhering to ISM principles and applying ISM controls.
- A degree in Engineering or Information Technology from an Australian tertiary institution or certified equivalent qualification (for overseas qualifications).
- A sound understanding of and demonstrated experience applying Systems Engineering practices throughout the SDLC and system management processes (including requirements analysis).
- Extensive experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of robust and reliable software systems.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and work as a senior member of a dynamic team, including ability to work under limited direction to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong documentation skills with experience in preparing and reviewing solution architecture documents and system design documents, including alignment to strategies and existing initiatives.
