Position Overview

We are looking for an Industry Engagement Consultant to enhance our Sunshine Coast campus operations in a full-time, permanent role. This position is pivotal in guiding young individuals towards successful employment outcomes.

Your success in this role will hinge on your ability to mentor and coach young people, helping them develop essential character traits and employability skills while establishing robust partnerships with industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments with employers to ensure compliance and safety standards.
  • Facilitate training opportunities for young individuals on campus.
  • Provide education and training to prepare students for successful work experience placements.
  • Lead workshops and sessions focused on employability skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate Work Experience Program placements, offering constructive feedback.
  • Engage with both new and existing employers to strengthen relationships with the Australian Industry Trade College.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, guardians, and employers.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar capacity or a strong industry background with transferable skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety practices.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Current Working with Children Blue Card or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to embody the values of the Australian Industry Trade College.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Certificate IV in Career Development.
  • Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Experience in the boating, electrical, or construction sectors.
