About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Eastern Health. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality assessment, intensive case management, and discipline-specific mental health assessment, treatment, consultation, and community linkage services within a recovery-oriented model of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with consumers, carers, families, and other service providers to provide comprehensive mental health services.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each consumer.
- Provide intensive case management services to support consumers in achieving their recovery goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community-based services and organizations to facilitate effective community linkage.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with appropriate registration and experience.
- Sound theoretical knowledge of clinical assessment and interventions in mental health.
- Demonstrated commitment to and ability to practice utilising the recovery approach in mental health treatment and support.
- A solid commitment to high-quality care.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
