Job Title: Chief Modernisation Officer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our modernisation chapter, driving transformation and uplifting risk maturity across delivery teams.

This role requires strong relationships with technology leaders, business partners, and stakeholders to align strategic outcomes and objectives.

  • Lead the modernisation chapter to drive transformation, while embedding sustainable technology risk practices.
  • Provide guidance and advice to senior leaders on their services and risk profiles.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a proactive and progressive risk culture.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking/financial services, sound knowledge of technology and operational risk frameworks, and familiarity with APRA standards.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Providing guidance and advice on risk and control practices
- Collaborating with stakeholders to improve the control environment
- Supporting decision-making on control improvement opportunities
- Educating new team members on current and changing risk practices
- Achieving strategic outcomes and supporting CIO teams as needed
