Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Insurance Underwriting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our SME Digital Trading Team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and technical underwriting support in a fast-paced multi-demand channel environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be aligned to a portfolio of customers/brokers and be responsible for proactively developing our SME digital book of business. You will work closely with the team to deliver exceptional broker/customer experience and technical underwriting support, driving business growth and building credible relationships with brokers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of commercial motor and commercial business insurance products.
  • Provide expert technical underwriting support to brokers and customers, ensuring seamless transaction processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement business strategies, driving growth and profitability.
  • Manage a portfolio of customers/brokers, providing proactive development and support to drive business growth.
  • Analyse complex risks and provide recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of success in insurance underwriting or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong initiative and high-learning agility, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Starting salary circa £25,000 (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
