Job Title: Senior Learning Leader

Job Description:

As a Senior Learning Leader, you will play a key role in driving educational excellence and student achievement at our school. You will lead the development and implementation of teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs, and support teachers to evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies that improve student outcomes.
  • Support teachers to develop and refine their teaching practice through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort or whole-school level and use this data to inform teaching and learning decisions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of all students.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Provisional or full registration as a teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, and developing and implementing education policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the broader community.
  • A deep understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Framework, and experience in developing and implementing curriculum plans that meet the needs of all students.
