Conservation Leadership Role

At the heart of our organization lies a profound commitment to conservation, guiding us in our pursuit of protecting unique biodiversity and fostering meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities.

The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing conservation efforts through strategic partnership with Traditional Owners of Aboriginal Land Trust. This collaborative endeavor will integrate our conservation strategies with active involvement from Traditional Owners in planning and through employment of Indigenous Rangers.

Essential Competencies
  1. Exceptional organizational and leadership skills to coordinate, prioritize, and execute numerous tasks efficiently
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of establishing and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders
  3. Practical skills in asset maintenance and infrastructure projects, including supervising and implementing projects, maintaining assets, and performing routine repairs
  4. Experience in delivering land management programs, including feral eradication, prescribed fire, and weed management programs
  5. Ability to deliver projects cost-effectively and manage financial resources, including budgeting, tracking expenditure, and preparing financial reports
  6. Resourcefulness and ability to improvise and solve problems with limited resources

  • Strategic planning and implementation of conservation initiatives
  • Supervision of remote teams and coordination of project activities
  • Establishment and maintenance of relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Development and delivery of training programs for team members
  • Analysis and reporting of project outcomes and budget performance
