Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver Opportunity

We are seeking a professional HGV Driver to join our team and contribute to the success of our business.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a valid Category C driving license, Digital Tachograph Card & Drivers Qualification Card.
  • A clean driving record and ability to work safely and efficiently are essential for this role.
  • You will be responsible for performing pre-shift and end-of-shift vehicle checks, adhering to road safety rules, and ensuring loads are secure and within weight limits.
  • In addition, you will provide excellent customer service, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and demonstrate a high level of geographical knowledge.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Checks: Perform regular walk-around inspections, report any defects found, and ensure vehicles are maintained in good working condition.
  2. Road Safety: Adhere to road safety rules, including the Highway Code and Road Traffic Act, and comply with driving regulations such as the Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours.
  3. Loading and Unloading: Ensure loads are secure and within weight limits, following site-specific rules and regulations.
  4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a positive attitude and responding to queries in a professional manner.
  5. Geographical Knowledge: Demonstrate a high level of geographical knowledge, using mapping software or other tools to navigate routes efficiently.
