**Strategic Liquor Category Role**

At Metcash, you'll play a key part in supporting our liquor pillar across specific categories.

This dynamic role will see you at the heart of strategic planning, delivering actionable insights and execution plans. Your analytical mindset and data-driven approach will help shape category growth and enhance performance across our independent retail network.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver category management and assortment analysis to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Liaise with suppliers to understand new product launches and leverage key insights.
  • Lead the gate process for annual category range reviews and support implementation via space and range management.
  • Partner with our category teams and business managers to develop and execute tailored retail programs.

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years' experience in liquor or FMCG retail, ideally within category management on the supplier or retailer side.
  • Proven track record of working in category roles and understanding fundamentals of range and space planning.
  • Confidence working with data and ability to draw strategic insights using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in cross-functional environments.
