About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Aluminium Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in PENRITH. This is a full-time role with a competitive remuneration package.

Job Description

This position is responsible for attending to plant and equipment breakdowns, completing scheduled routine preventative maintenance, and providing technical assistance within a continuous improvement environment to optimise the manufacturing process.

The primary accountabilities of this role include:

  • Analyse, develop, and implement programs for plant optimisation
  • Follow maintenance planning schedules to maximise quality production output
  • Maintain and develop computer-driven manufacturing equipment and control systems
  • Apply mechanical solutions to the automatic transfer of material, components, or finished goods
  • Provide assistance and training to plant operators for equipment maintenance and use
  • Assist in developing tests/fixtures for components and finished products
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience on fixed plant machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Some steel and plate fabrication experience
  • Ability to work shifts, inclusive of call back and weekend work (as required)
  • Demonstrated ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
  • Some hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding ability
  • Some welding experience and knowledge
