We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Capral, Australia's leading Aluminium Manufacturing and Distribution company.

Job Description:- Attend to plant and equipment breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production output.
- Complete scheduled routine preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of machinery and equipment.
- Provide technical assistance within a continuous improvement environment to optimise the manufacturing process.
- Analyse and develop programs for plant optimisation to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Follow maintenance planning schedules to maximise quality production output and meet customer demands.
- Maintain and develop computer-driven manufacturing equipment and control systems to stay ahead of industry standards.
- Apply mechanical solutions to automate material transfer, components, or finished goods to enhance production flow.
- Provide training and assistance to plant operators on equipment maintenance and use.
- Assist in developing tests and fixtures for components and finished products to ensure quality control.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to source materials and services efficiently.
- Minimum 2 years' experience on fixed plant machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Steel and plate fabrication experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to work shifts, including call-back and weekend work as required.
- Demonstrated ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic drawings to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding techniques to resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Welding experience and knowledge to repair equipment and fabricate new parts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and other Office programs to manage administrative tasks.
- Dogmen ticket or equivalent to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Forklift licence to move materials around the factory floor.
- High-risk licence, EWP, working at heights, confined space training to perform tasks that require special permits.
- PLC and automation knowledge to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
- Restricted electrical licence to perform electrical tasks safely.
