Emergency Medicine Specialist Role

As a senior team member in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for managing patients and contributing to patient care decisions in the High Dependency Unit and emergency situations. A strong relationship builder with a demonstrated commitment to education and training of junior colleagues, you will be an effective role model for all staff and participate in teaching and mentoring activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing input into patient management in the ED and HDU
  • Mentoring and educating junior colleagues
  • Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, including audit and morbidity and mortality review

Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent
  • Hold appropriate specialist qualifications and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia
