About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Hotel Operations Specialist to join our team at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences across multiple departments, including Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Front Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and clean public areas of the hotel to ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Prepare, cook, and deliver ordered meals/snacks to meet the highest standards of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Provide prompt and efficient service to guests in a professional manner, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure security policy and procedures are maintained and adhered to at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong ability to provide exceptional customer service and handle guest inquiries with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • The willingness to work across different departments, taking on varied tasks and responsibilities as required.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., Opera) and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • High standards of cleanliness and organisation, as well as the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
  • A valid QLD RSA certificate or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Flexible availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends, with minimal supervision.
